The story is about a man who comes home to organize his father’s things and inadvertently finds his father's VR glasses, which opens up memories of the past. In his early childhood, his father died unexpectedly, leaving him without closure. Through the VR glasses, he discovers that he may have a second chance to say goodbye.

One of the defining aspects of our film is its unique approach to animation, utilizing motion capture (Mocap) as the foundation while pushing its potential for stylization and expressiveness. As the lead animator, I was responsible for most of the animation work, including extensive Mocap clean-up and refinement, as part of my thesis research.

My focus was on enhancing raw Mocap data to strike a balance between realism and artistic stylization, challenging the limits of how motion capture can be adapted within an animated pipeline. From rigging and retargeting to cleaning up jitter and refining performances with keyframing, I worked to ensure that every motion felt both natural and visually compelling. By blending Mocap with traditional animation principles, I aimed to create a final product that feels both organic and expressive, delivering a polished and cinematic experience.
